Look at this game!

I found a party game today that I thought was absolutely hilarious. Take a look at this:
It’s called Pin the Part on the Old Fart. As you might guess, it’s a lot like pin the tail on the donkey. Except, well, you’re not pinning a tail on a donkey. Instead it looks like you pin various things old people use on a picture of an old person, like a hairpiece or a diaper. Here, there’s an image of all the different things:
Isn’t that just priceless? I think this would be a really fun party game for George’s birthday. I’m sure everybody will get a kick out of it, George included! After all, what fun would his birthday be if we didn’t poke fun at his age? And what a better way to do it? Everybody will get some good laughs out of playing this game and plus it’ll be an activity to bring everybody together for. I was worried there wouldn’t be enough of those! I’m glad I found this. And I know, it’s not a gift really, but I’m sure you all don’t mind me posting something a little different every once in a while. Maybe some of you will see this and want to play this game too!

Candles

So I know this isn’t really a gift, but I found this and I thought I’d post about it. I think you’ll all appreciate it, and I need a break from just posting gag gifts one after another. Variety is the spice of life, after all! Anyways like I said, I was browsing that website I’ve been finding things at and I found a couple options for candles for George’s cake. I was just going to use fifty regular ones but I’m glad I found these because I like these ideas better!
I think I’m going to use these candles instead!

Most of them are just normal candles, but 5 of them (1 in 10) is a trick candle that relights itself! So it’s a joke, because it’s like it’s saying he’s too old and out of breath to blow the candles out, isn’t that great? Everybody will love that, me, George, and all the other guests will, I’m sure of it! We’ll all get a good laugh when he tries to blow out these guys.
Also, I think I’m going to top it off with this fifty-first candle - you know what they say, add an extra candle for good luck. Well, in this case maybe “good luck” isn’t quite right - take a look at this candle!

It’s shaped like a gravestone, and a button on the back plays the funeral march! I’m not really sure what that is but it must be some music associated with funerals I guess. But this should be fun too! I bet everybody will laugh when they see the cake come out with this on it, and then even more when George tries to blow the other candles out. This should be really funny. I’m so glad I stumbled upon these candles online!

Lost his marbles!

Here’s a gag gift I found that’s absolutely perfect for George. It’s called “Lost your marbles”.

You all get the joke, right? When people start to go senile people say they’ve “lost their marbles.” Well, this is a replacement kit! It’s like real marbles to replace the metaphorical ones you’ve lost, get it? I know it’s a little kitschy and cheesy but I think it’s priceless. And maybe it’s a little expensive for 8 marbles but it’s just a perfect gag gift and where else am I going to find some marbles? And even if I did, I don’t think he’d get the joke without the packaging. This is like the perfect joke for George, too, because he’s starting to forget stuff and act senile more and more and I tease him all the time and never let him hear the end of it. Sometimes he’ll forget he already put the coffee on or already put his watch on and go looking for it, and he can never remember where he put the keys. Obviously he isn’t really senile yet, but that’s the whole point of the joke! He’ll think it’s funny and some of his best friends probably will too because I know they know what I’m talking about. I don’t know what we’ll do with marbles after the party, though, but that isn’t the point. This should be a hilarious gag gift both for me to give and him to receive!

Prune Juice Shot Glass!

I found another funny little gag gift today, but this one could also have some practical use, I think! Here it is:

It’s a prune juice shot glass! The joke is that you’re supposed to take shots of prune juice out of it, because older people need prune juice to help them stay... “regular” because they’re getting old. That’s a funny gag gift and I bet George would laugh at that! But obviously the shot glass isn’t really to drink prune juice out of, although now that I’m thinking of it, maybe I’ll buy a little bit and make him do one shot of it at the party. Or maybe I could offer it to anyone who wants to and give a little prize if someone does! The old brain’s firing up thinking of all kinds of ideas now! But anyways, the glass isn’t really met for prune juice, it’s meant for alcohol. And while I haven’t been able to take a shot since I was in my twenties (they seem so long ago now!) I know George is still capable of it when he wants to, even though he doesn’t drink much any more. But we’ve gone to the bars with some of our younger (or younger at heart, at least) friends and I’ve seen that he can still knock a few back. So this could be fun for that at the party too. It looks like a pretty tall shot glass, so maybe those measurements on it (the ones that say regular and lax and “super pooper”) measure out one, two, or three shots? I’m not sure. We could just measure it out if nothing else. Anyways, this looks like a fun little gift and activity for the party, so I think I might get one of these. It should be fun!
